Empowerment For Hope

About Us
Empowerment For Hope Society is a survivor-led, community-based organization dedicated to supporting individuals affected by intimate partner violence, gender-based violence, domestic sex trafficking, and other forms of trauma—particularly those from marginalized and underrepresented communities, including African Nova Scotians, newcomers, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
How We Help
We provide accessible, wraparound support services tailored to the real needs of our community.

Counselling Resources
We offer compassionate, confidential, trauma-informed counselling with expertise in trauma support, coaching, breathwork, meditation, and youth guidance. We create a safe space for survivors and individuals navigating life’s challenges to reclaim strength and move forward.

Community Support for Homelessness
Our homelessness support program connects individuals with wraparound support and external resources. We guide people to access emergency shelters, meals, housing assistance, and other community services.

Mental Health Resources
Mental health is health—and we treat it with the care it deserves. Our resources include therapy referrals, crisis intervention, and educational workshops to reduce stigma and promote resilience.

Holistic Healing Workshops
Healing is more than treatment—it’s connection, reflection, and renewal. Our workshops blend mindfulness, movement, and cultural practices to support whole-person wellness.

Healthy Living & Wellness Cohorts
Wellness thrives in community. Our cohorts and peer support workshops bring people together to explore nutrition, fitness, and mental well-being through guided sessions and shared goals. Participants gain practical tools, encouragement, and a renewed sense of vitality.

Our Mission
Our mission is to amplify survivor voices, strengthen community connections, and transform pain into purpose, building a future where every survivor is seen, heard, and supported in their journey toward healing and freedom.
Healing Workshops
Our healing workshops provide a safe and supportive space for survivors of sex trafficking, violence, trauma, and grief. Through trauma-informed guidance, holistic practices, and peer support, participants are encouraged to heal, connect, and rebuild with strength and hope.
